Enhanced Nurture
Graeme High School is fully committed to the concept of “Universal Nurture” where every classroom and classroom teacher embraces the principles of nurture.
However, there are some students in our community who benefit from the support of our enhanced nurture interventions.
Timetabled Nurture Groups
In addition to the Paws for Progress or Outdoor Learning programmes, we offer timetabled time within The Cloud, our school Nurture Base. Pupils come to the Cloud two periods a week and participate in a wide range of activities designed to meet their individual needs.
The Cloud
Our nurture base – The Cloud also offers longer term support to a small group of S1 pupils identified through the P7 transition process, Boxhall testing, contextual analysis and Educational Psychologist input.
These pupils have extended time, everyday within The Cloud before the start of the school day and for Period 1. The pupils also receive two further timetabled times within The Cloud. The time spent within The Cloud is gradually decreased based on individual needs and data.
