Make sure you see your form class prefect to sign up for this event. If you have any questions please contact Mr McLeod.
This Week's Inter-House Events This week there are 3 Inter-House events taking place during lunchtimes. The events are: Wednesday 2nd & Thursday 3rd December - S2 7-a-side boys Football Wednesday 2nd December - Debating Tournament (Round 1) Thursday 3rd December - The PS3 Challenge.
Target Points For Effort This week staff have been asked to award extra TARGET points to pupils who demonstrate high levels of effort. This counts for every lesson. It is worth noting that this is a particularly important time for S4 as they sit their prelim exams. Ensure that you make your time in class count. These extra TARGET points should not stop you earning your regular points in class for giving your best, coming equipped and displaying a positive attitude.
S5/6 Pupils Entering the Labour Market in May/June 2010 Any S5/S6 pupils who do not wish to consider a full-time course of study and would like some advice and information on looking for work are welcome to attend an information session on Monday, 7th December during periods 3 or 4 in the library with Mr Smith (Careers Adviser).
Friday's Inter-House Scores!! Well done to Morrison House who managed to top the scores in both of last Friday's Inter-House events. Not only did they come joint-first with Lockhart in the Movie Quote Quiz (the answer was of course Ghostbusters) but they also managed to defeat Lockhart in the team quiz at lunchtime. It should also be noted that Steele House did not even enter a team into the team quiz. Tut tut! Sort it out Steele Prefects!
Christmas Boxes Each year we ask pupils to bring in items to fill a Christmas box which will be delivered to an elderly person living within the local area. These can be items that you already have at home or else something you may wish to buy that you think an elderly person would appreciate receiving in a box at Christmastime. Even if everyone were to bring in only one item, each form class box would be overflowing! Don't forget to bring in wrapping paper to wrap the box and a Christmas card to be signed by your form class. We sent out 65 boxes last year, so lets see if we send out more than 70 this year!
S1 Inter-House Football Congratulations to S1 Steele House boys who secured a convincing victory in the S1 Inter-House Football tournament.
