Ineos Workshop - National Chemistry Week
A group of our pupils visited Ineos on Tuesday afternoon as part of National Chemistry Week. The group included Ross Imlach (L18), Jack Rice (M18), Ryan Davidson (L01), Andrew McLean (ST07), Calum McLean (ST07), Emma Tripney (L19), Erin McKirdy (L01), Stephanie Wilson (ST05), Caitlin Healy (L15) and Laura Dougall (M17).
Pupil Council Leadership Training
The following pupils were involved in Leadership Training for the Pupil Council: Jonathon Baxter (L15), Laura Chisholm (L09), Andrew Morrison (L11), Nicole Carlin (L01), Sarah Garioch (M16), Ross Dryden (M17), Amy Broadley (M20), Hayley Wight (M06), Lewis Bunning (M17), Christina Mason (M01), Nichola Bell (ST04), Ben Towers (ST07), Amy Lonnie (ST08), Sarah-Jane Downie (ST10), Sarah Lyon (ST07), Gillian Murray (ST11), Rebecca Crichton (M06), Ryan Wells (ST18), Murdo Connachie (M14) and Jennifer Russell (ST12).
Creative Futures
A group of pupils attended a Media and Drama Creative Futures workshop at Camelon Education Centre. Included in the group were: Steven Sloss, Ross Menzies, Kathryn McMillan, Abbie Morrison, Ami Caldwell, Caitlin Irvine, Rachel Williams, April McIntyre, Nadine Fraser, Caitlyn Brown and Aidan McNally.
Creative Futures Music Day
A group of pupils attended a Creative Futures Music Day on Tuesday at the Camelon Education Centre. The pupils attending were: Rebecca English, Holly Steel, Aimee Rattray, Ryan Wells, Ben Thorn, Dale Baxter, Kirstie Stewart and Jemma Lapsley.
S6 School Prefect Form Class
As from last Monday, all S6 School Prefects now attend a seperate form class every Monday in house groups. This will allow all staff, and the Prefect Captain Team, to meet Prefects as a group during that 15 minute period.
S5/6 Theatre Trip
The RMPS and Philosophy classes are going on a trip to the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh on the evening of Tuesday 8th December to see a comedy entitled “The Corstorphine Road Nativity”. If any other senior pupils wish to come, they should see Mr Cross or Miss Campbell for a permission slip as soon as possible.
Creative Futures - Day of Dance
The following pupils were out of school on Wednesday attending the Day of Dance: Nichola Bell, Lauren Tapley, Julie Dryden, Hazel Murray, Ruth Menzies, Rebecca Menzies, Danielle Croy and Emma Buckie.
S4 Parents Evening
It is hoped that the Parents and Carers who attended Monday’s Parents’ Evening found this useful and informative. Many were told of the Study Support opportunities offered by various Subjects and Departments each week, in preparation for the S4 Prelim Examinations which commence at the beginning of December – not many weeks away now!!
House Assemblies
House Assemblies, on the theme of Remembrance, took place this week. Lockhart House on Tuesday, Morrison on Wednesday and Steele today, Thursday.
Inter-House Fun Run
Unfortunately, the weather conditions did not improve over the weekend and this week’s rearranged fun run had to be cancelled. Apologies go to all those who came in prepared for it. The Fun Run will now be postponed until the Spring when the sun will hopefully be shining. All sign-up sheets will be kept until then so those who have already registered will stay registered and wont need to do so again.
