S5/6 Health and Wellbeing Afternoon Just back from holiday, the senior pupils were hastily involved on Monday afternoon in the second of this sessions inserts to the curriculum. The pupils took part in a variety of activities both in and out of school with Megazone, the Golf Driving Range at Airth, Tennis and Karting at Larbert being the out of school events. There will be another activity afternoon in a fortnight.
Target Points With the return to School after the October Holiday week, pupils are being reminded of the opportunity to collect Target points. The monthly winners will, as before, be decided by the total number of target points scored during the month. Currently target points being scored will count towards the October monthly awards to be presented at House Assemblies scheduled to run during the 2nd week in November.
In order to refresh pupils knowledge of the target rewards scheme and to get staff back in the habit of awarding regularly, a series of weekly drives focusing on the target values have been planned.
This week the focus is the ‘T’ from TARGET which is Timekeeping. Teaching staff should award target points to pupils who are on time for classes especially after interval and after lunch.
Between periods, move swiftly to your next class avoiding hanging about in corridors. These extra TARGET points awarded should not stop pupils earning their regular points in class for giving their best, coming equipped and displaying a positive attitude.
